The classic Rider-Waite Tarot is the most well known Tarot deck. This deck was created in 1909 by Pamela Colman Smith under direction of Arthur Edward Waite. This was the first deck I was given as a child and I'm so grateful that started with a 'real' deck. (No offense to the Gummy Bear deck.)
